The development of the Fobos platform is gathering pace. It gives us immense satisfaction to watch our technology cross new borders—both literally and metaphorically. Recent weeks have brought us new partners on two continents and an important update to our scenario library that you have frequently asked for.
International Expansion: South Africa and Solidifying Our Presence in the UK
Our community of professionals using VR in therapy is constantly growing. We are delighted that the effectiveness of the Fobos system is being recognized by established specialists in the international market.
South Africa: Shai Friedland
We proudly welcome Shai Friedland, a highly regarded clinical psychologist from South Africa, to our network. His practice is a place where professionalism meets modernity.
Implementing Fobos in Shai Friedland’s practice www.shaifriedland.co.za marks our entry into an entirely new market and proves that the demand for innovative mental health support tools is truly global.
United Kingdom: Numinous Ways
Our presence in the British Isles is becoming stronger. We are pleased to announce yet another deployment of Fobos in the UK—this time at the Numinous Ways center https://numinousways.com/.
The fact that more British facilities are choosing our system is the best recommendation for us. The partnership with Numinous Ways is another significant step in building a strong support network based on Fobos technology in Western Europe.
New in the Library: The Airport Zone
Listening to the feedback from therapists and users, we identified a key area of anxiety work that needed supplementation: aviophobia (fear of flying), specifically the stress preceding the flight itself.
For many people, the most difficult moment is not taking off, but the waiting time and the specific atmosphere prevailing at the airport. That is why we have added new, high-quality video materials focused on the pre-travel stage to Fobos.
What does the new module contain?
The scenario has been prepared to allow patients to get used to stimuli that often trigger anticipatory anxiety. Users can now safely experience:
- Arrival at the airport – the moment of approaching the terminal, which for many is the first stress trigger.
- Staying in the terminal and observing the airport – the opportunity to be in the airport space, observe airplanes on the tarmac, and the infrastructure itself, allowing for gradual desensitization.
- Flying the plane
This material was one of the most anticipated by our community. It allows for work at the foundation of the anxiety, acclimatizing the patient to the environment before the decision to board is even made.
Summary
We are thrilled that Fobos is reaching an ever-wider circle of specialists—from South Africa to further practices in the UK. We also believe that the new airport materials will become a valuable addition to your therapeutic work. Thank you for your trust and for growing with us!
