We are pleased to announce that we have begun the initial rollout of our Fobos application in therapeutic clinics around the world. Among the countries that have started cooperating with us are India, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Discussions with additional clinics are ongoing.

Since 2022, Fobos has been conducting continuous R&D on the application, which supports exposure therapy for social phobias using VR tools, including 360-degree videos developed in collaboration with therapists and psychiatrists. The steadily improved tool has undergone clinical trials, which resulted in official notifications to the Ministry of Health and the Bioethics Committee. The study confirmed Fobos’s effectiveness in exposure therapy for social phobias, showing a reduction in SUD levels (the Subjective Units of Distress Scale, a tool used to measure feelings of anxiety and discomfort associated with fear exposure).

The First Four Clinics in Europe and Beyond Are Already Working with Fobos

Following the positive outcomes of the study, the decision was made to begin implementing the solution in therapeutic settings. As of now, Fobos is working with four therapeutic clinics that incorporate exposure therapy into their practice.

The trust from clinics around the world is proof of Fobos’s innovation and effectiveness,” say representatives of the project.

Advantages of the Fobos System

Fobos uses a smartphone with either iOS or Android in VR mode, combined with a special cardboard headset, eliminating the need to purchase expensive „classic” VR goggles. This makes the solution accessible to virtually any therapist who sees its potential in practice.

Additionally, the system uses LSAS metrics (Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale – a test for social phobia) to evaluate results, and a special algorithm that monitors patient engagement suggests further steps to the therapist, such as increasing or decreasing the level of exposure.
